Les Kroeger – Past President
We got our first bison in the winter of 1989. Together with my wife Kathy, and sons Andrew and Chance, we do some marketing of our own products, as well as a cow/calf operation. We are a grass-based operation, seeing the benefits of the “bison advantage”. I am thankful to see the next generation of producers taking various roles in the farm operations, as well as leadership roles in our regional and national organizations. I have been involved with both the CBA and SBA for many years. I currently hold the position of President of the SBA, and as a director on the CBA board. I believe interacting with students and being involved in agriculture education will help develop our future markets and ensure a bright future for the industry. The economics of agriculture is very demanding recently and I am confident this industry will remain economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable.
